Looking for long-term full-time employment with an atypical construction crew? What makes us unique is our focus on our three core values: We are Supportive, We all take pride in our Work Ethic individually and as a team and we each have a Can-Do Attitude. We love diversity and the energy of each person being the individual they are. Grumpy people or people who “can do everything” need not apply…
We are a residential remodeling company specializing in kitchen and bath renovations. Our unique approach to projects is that we don't subcontract work; instead, our team completes all work in-house (except for plumbing and electrical work, which we are not licensed to do). We follow the rules and pull permits. This means that everyone on our team works on all aspects of the remodeling process and has to follow and know the code. Additionally, we are a woman-owned and operated business, with our owner, Kim, being heavily involved in leading the fieldwork.
Our pay scale ranges from (click URL for application)
$20-25/hr for Laborer to Jr. Carpenter (0-3 years experience in residential remodeling). So that you know, we do not have any current openings for Laborer/Jr. Carpenter positions.
$25-35/hr for Carpenter (3-15 years experience)
$40/hr and up for Lead Carpenter. (This is a toolbelt on position requiring 15+ years of pulling permits and managing kitchen/bathroom remodeling projects)
While we don't offer healthcare, we provide company vehicles after a year of employment, 401K, and PTO.
With time and development, the position can progress into a lead carpenter/project management role if that is what you are into, but our current openings are 100% tool belt on. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 to 4:30 and no weekends. Most of the work is interior, with occasional exterior tasks associated with remodeling of kitchens and bathrooms.
Transportation to and from the various job sites is required. It is expected that you will have your own tool belt and tools but do not expect you to have every specialty tool (nobody wants to store a drywall lift). There are sometimes two employees at a job site at a time, but most job sites only have one employee at a time. You will be expected to be able to work without a supervisor onsite. Using a smartphone app, time and tasks are tracked. We each upload pictures of what you were able to complete for the day along with short notes. Typically we meet for Pancakes each Monday morning. We also utilize zoom to contact each other with problems and/or questions about a project.
